I had a lot of fun with this drawing. It's done in A3 format, and I sketched it first on cheap paper before I traced it (is that the correct term? My dictionary fails me here, I'm afraid.) out on "watercolour paper". Then I cheated using watercolour pencils, faffed around with a few different brushes and —voilà— the drawing's finished. ♥ I'm still on my first stumbling steps with this technique, but I must say that I love it and I think I'll use it more and more in the future. What do you think of it?
Look, looook, it has a background as well! Well, sort of, but still! Colour! ♥

I adore that you have included the tiny details of the scene - Sirius's book being within his reach and Remus using Sirius as a pillow.
As for it being "late" - don't be silly. You are really sweet to want to do drawings for my story at all, and I am happy with them whenever you manage to complete them. Not everyone is lucky enough to get art for their stories and I consider myself very privileged that you would take the time to do these.
I can't believe that you haven't used this technique before - it looks just wonderful.
Once in a Blue Moon will probably be finished in about three to four months, just so you know.
I am really going to have to find the time to go back through my story and put your pictures in the right places. I have just been putting it off because of the whole LJ cut/centering issue which means I have to redo the whole post from scratch or lose my cuts. Not that I have time to do it right now - back at work means lots less online time all round. But am definitely going to find the time to go and squee about your picture on my LJ.
Thank you again for taking the time to illustrate scenes from my story.

Oi -- if I don't include the details, then it's not an illustration, now is it? *g*
I'm mostly annoyed (at myself) because I promised this such a long time ago, and haven't delivered anything until now. I think my worst problem is that I lack everything even resembling to discipline, and can only draw/write/create when I feel inspired, which is... fickle, to say at least.
Three to four months? Excellent; that is too far off for me to consider a deadline, and thus I don't have to be weighed down by deadline-stress. ♥

Oh gods, really? Cor, that's... that's lovely to hear. I mean, thank you so much. (Why oh why do I always turn into Bertie Wooster whenever I'm self-conscious?)
Well, I echo you and say thank you again, though for different reasons. ♥

(There! Background! Even kind of a background is good, and this one is kind of a lot fitting in the scene, so YES, awesome indeed. :D)

His shoes? XD I couldn't find a reference pic and couldn't be arsed to either (shoes are boring!) so I just drew some bastardized Converse thingy. But alright, thank you!
(YES, it is indeed awesome! :D Backgrounds are starting to grow on me, to be honest, as long as they add something to the drawing.)

(Oh, I wish I had more than the Gryffindor (=non-existing) patience for things like that!)
