Indeed, the ocassionally brilliant focus is nice, but the "my-brain-is-a-scary-place" part is less fun *empathises*. (I am also affected, but mildly, very mildly indeed - quite highly functional etc. - I shudder to think what it is like for those worse off.)
I suppose the average TV writer thinks that an "interesting" character is more important than any sort of accuracy *le sigh*.
