I particularly liked the song-and-dance number at the start. And then everything that came after, really.
STEVE’S SHEILD. USED AS AN UNGLAMOROUS BOOKEND. "Do you know what this is?" Me: I totally fucking know what it is - better question - why does Tony have it? Don't tell me you weren't thinking what I was thinking.
Incidentally the scene where he created an element was pretty fucking awesome (who knew pipe wrenches were hot?). Also the bit where he was doing his own renovation/electrical work. Because it's nice that he's not beyond getting his hands dirty.
And the soundtrack. BASICALLY THE BEST MOVIE SOUNDTRACK EVER, IMMHO.
I nearly had a goddamn heart-attack when the little device came up "blood toxicity 19%". Mostly because a normal human being would already be dead by then but that's fine, a little medical science fail is okay. And the painted-on veins looked fairly realistic.
NICK. FURY. Fucking awesome.
Particularly liked Tony sitting in the donut. Maybe because I've been looking at it for a month but dammit I loved it anyway and I should not fixate on details.
Tony being fall-over drunk one minute and kicking well-matched arse the next = win.
Also he was considerably better-dressed this time around (by which I mean that he was adorable running around in ratty t-shirts. Easily pleased, me.)
I hate to say it in a way but I am actually strangely okay with Tony/Pepper. I mean, I know it won't last, but I kinda ridiculously want it to. And for some reason the fact that he remembered that there was something about Pepper and strawberries was ridiculously adorable.
"You might have a big gun, but you are not the big gun." I cannot help but mentally replace "gun" with "penis". But then I had trouble not replacing "hammer" with "penis" as well, except more in a "dickhead" kind of way.
Don't laugh at me but I was totally 'shipping Tony/Agent Coulson for a second there. When they were saying goodbye. In my head, Tony kissed him goodbye because he was going to miss him.
What I want to know is if you got the bonus cut-scene at the end of your screening. Do tell.
