More entertaining-myself-while-I’m-ill silliness. ♥ Meme this time;
latenightcuppa was kind enough to tag me.
Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.
Remus/Sirius: Well, I can’t very well say that I’m surprised. R/S is one of my OTPs, and I love them to a frightening degree. In fact, I think they’re my ultimate OTP, because they aren't just canon-compliant* but they’re also good for each other. They have a healthy relationship, even if the circumstances are screwed-up. And to tell the truth, I’ve been crushing on both Remus and Sirius since I was ten, so being an R/S shipper is as close to Remus/Sirius/me I’ll ever get. ♥AND REALLY, HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THEM?
*In any case, it is never explicitly denied and Remus didn’t marry Tonks*vomits* until after Sirius had died.
Patrick Wolf: Patrick! ♥ Yes, I’m a horrible fangirl of him. I discovered him via a House MD fanmix, where his song Overture was included. I liked the song, and listened to it occasionally, but nothing more. Then, in another fanmix, I stumbled upon The Magic Position. This time I looked him up on Wikipedia and goggled when I saw that Mr. Wolf is a beauteous youth – partly because I couldn’t believe a voice like that belonged to a skinny twenty-something boy, and partly because I found him very attractive. I read the article about him, which caused me to goggle once more, because he seems to be a decent person who isn’t a hysterical media-whore. Also, he's English, and everything that is British -- and English in particular -- is currently seen with rose-tinted spectacles. And that’s how my love-affair with him started. ♥ At the moment, my absolute favourite songs by him are To the Lighthouse, Demolition and The Railway House. But, you know, that's just what I think these five minutes.
Art: Oh, now I’m flattered! I still view myself as an amateur artist, but I find it both therapeutic and entertaining to draw, so that’s why I do it. I still fret over how not-perfect my drawings are, and how I can’t draw anything but men’s faces, but I’m not as bad as I was a year ago. And lately I’ve started to become interested in classical art, mostly with mythological and/or biblical themes, and I adore John William Waterhouse and Rubens. And angles! They're pretty, when they aren't those bloody putti.
Sweden: My country. I blab about it quite a lot, don’t I? I usually use my nationality as an excuse for my poor English. *g* But there are a few things that are quite awesome with Sweden; Kent, for example, and authors like Katarina von Bredow and Inger Edelfeldt. Andmy mum's our food culture is brilliant. Meatballs! (I’ve also never been outside of Scandinavia; does that count for anything?)
Writing: I love writing. I don’t know if I’m any good at it and I constantly fret over it, but I love it. Language is such a fun thing to play with, and I’m able to create scenarios that I have complete control over. It’s fun. I can’t remember a time when I haven't written, but I started to “seriously” write when I was twelve. I reckon I met the standard of “Acceptable” about half a year ago, if even then. ♥
